EXCITING THINGS ARE HAPPENING!

As of May 10, 2013 an apostle of the Lord has used the spirit to perfectly know where I am to serve my mission! Now my call is making its journey to me. I AM SO DELIGHTED AND EXCITED! I cannot wait for the white package to arrive at my door.

The Divine Call of a Missionary

I am beyond excited to announce that my mission papers are currently waiting to be assigned to a mission! I cannot even express my feelings, let's just say they are bountiful! To celebrate I have this special video to share.

This has got to be one of my favorite talks. I can testify that I am confident that the Lord leads His missionary force. I cannot wait to hear where the Lord has designed for me to go and serve. Please watch!

with lots of love and lots of excitement in my heart,

THE GOSPEL IS WONDERFUL! AND TRUE!

Dear lovely people,
I have oh so much to be grateful for!  I too, like Mariah, am home for a season here in my good ol' home town. I am excited to be doing all sorts of great things! College has gotten me used to spending lots of time trying to accomplish things. So when thinking about coming home, I wanted to make sure that I would keep up my productivity! Which sometimes is hard to do. I am anxiously awaiting the time when I will be ready to receive my mission call! So, as part of the things I should be accomplishing now I am counting on working on being prepared to be a missionary for my wonderful Savior. How exciting! I'll keep you posted on the great things I will be filling up my life with!

Today I had a wonderful experience! While being at BYU I enjoyed seeing missionary work expanding in such strides. I loved attending the many mission call openings and feeling the spirit come as each future missionary opened their called and heard where the Lord wanted them to go. On each person's face, you could see their trust and assurance in knowing they where going to the place the Lord had designed for them as the Holy Ghost testified to them it is right. With the call now opened, the person seemed to be beaming with enthusiasm that lasted weeks upon weeks, growing as their time came closer for them to go. I loved that experience. What has testified to me even more was returning to my homeward and seeing this same miracle happening to four of my ward friends.  I have known them since my birth, and to see their lifes' brightened with mission excitement hit me in a powerful way.

I LOVE MY HOME WARD!
I can't wait to get my call and join with this wonderful group of youth. Until then, I can keep on preparing myself! Yay! I am so blessed for this opportunity to witness and take part in this great moment in history.

Speaking of history. I have two new loves! Church history and family history! I am excited to be spending my time doing more of these wonderful things too!

LOVE MY LIFE!

The Time Will Come If You WORK AND WAIT for It

I am working on becoming a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have lots of work to do to improve myself. But I have felt the Holy Ghost, my Motivator, tell me that this is right. My time will come. If I WORK, not just WAIT for it. Patience will be a part of this experience. And waiting will ensure. I am thankful for my Savior who has blessed me with understanding, will, and feelings of peace while I learn how to a better instrument in His hands.
Love lots!

Just as I was thinking about my waiting time, the song Amsterdam played by Imagine Dragons. Saying the line: "The time will come if you wait for it."

Consequence?
Not a chance.

Let Me Explain Myself

You may be wondering why this blog is titled "Half Vulcan, Half Human, All Me." Well let me explain! If you are a Trekkie then this will make sense to you! My dad is super logical like a Vulcan. My mom is an emotional person like humans are. I am almost a strange mix of half and half. I am kinda like Spock! Once my friend told me that my dream career was surprising. She thought I was "too logical for that." Well that is when my Human side kicks in and defends myself! So I say, along with Walt Disney, 'It is kind of fun to do the impossible,' even if it doesn't seem logical. If we use our logic to do the illogical then it all becomes logical in the end! Haha... New Adventure! :D

I have been packing, packing, sorting, packing, organizing, and cleaning! And I still have so much packing to do! Whoa! Here are some fun pictures to give you some idea of what I am facing. This is the first time I have moved since I was five, which I am sure I was a very effective packer... at age five... or not....
Note! See how kind my cat is to "help" me pack! She wouldn't move to save her life!
