Hair!

I have been having hair dilemmas. So painful I won't even blog about them.

So to try to lift my hair spirits up I'm experimenting some more with my hair! Hmmm... Maybe hair experimenting isn't the best option right now.. How thought out is this plan?. Too late!
So here is a picture of me either trying to fit in with alien seekers or rag curling my hair. I leave you to deduce.

English Quest

Well, life has never been so busy.
I'm stunned and shocked to announce that I got 1st place for my Poster at English quest. I must admit though, if I were the judges I wouldn't have picked mine. I saw the talent and beauty of the other posters. They were beyond compare! So I thought I had no chance.

I'm proud of our whole school! We brought out best talents. Each item brought was a masterpiece in my eyes.

Well I posted a picture of the best use of my Physics text book, that is right. A glue press!

In other news, when I get time imma going start designing quotes. I'll explain more later. For now though I must focus on schooling, college, fit for life :S, and ending this trimester. While over coming bronchitis. Wish me luck!
Signing off.

The Whole Future is Before Me

I received some most exciting news yesterday. While in Salt Lake City visiting my sister for her birthday I opened my email. To my delight my acceptance letter from the very magnificent BYÜ sat there anticipating my opening. I was excited and stunned all at once. I feel that college is right on my front porch, waiting to knock and invite me to a new stage in my life. I can barely believe it is here and I wonder if I am ready at times.

To say the least my parents are positively invigorated by my acceptance to BYÜ.

Here's the difficult part: I have to make major decisions and rather quickly. I have always LOVED BYÜ, always. I remember the days that my cousin and I got in rather large arguments about BYÜ and arch-enemy U of U. The idea of actually going to BYÜ is amazing beyond explanation.

On the other hand I have my wonderful sister, Amy. She reminds me of how not prepared I am to leave home. She also nudges me about how hard it will be to be two hours away. Even though that isn't a huge travel time, I have learned from my other sister Lisa that it still is quite distant enough to not be able to be at all our family gatherings. Amy and her family are rooting for me to go to USU which is just 30 minutes away from my home. Amy and her family are more than close. It isn't just a coincidence that I was with their family both times I have received acceptance letters. She even suggest that I live at her house, work at Dominos, and commute to college, which doing so would save me money.. It is true that many of my concurrent enrollment classes are accepted at USU where they are not at BYÜ. So in all going to USU will save money, and that really counts in college life.

Then there is my mom and she likes the idea of SVU which is on the other side of the nation. I do like SVU because the class sizes are extremely small, but it is just so far away.

Also I have been accepted from BYÜ-I, and the spirit that is there is very enticing.

And there is me. Stuck between my own feelings, my family's wishes, and building a life that would be pleasing to the Lord.

I'm other news, check me out with a lightsaber! Awesome, right?

Happenings!

So I have had quite a few fun adventures recently, but for some reason I keep putting of blogging about them. No worries! I am determined to share my stories and glories with you right here, right now.

Experience number one:
I belong to the awesome club BEHSSSSSSSSsSSSSsssS (that is Box Elder High School Social Studies Society and any other positive S word you know). I actually have the privilege of being an officer! A few weeks back we went on a trip that I thought was quite fun! We went to Utah's State Capital, which is such a beautiful building. Me and my friends had loads and loads of fun taking the most random picture (see proof below). We also went to the Daughter of Utah Pioneers Museum, which I had not known anything about. There are trillions of artifacts! I just LOVE that type of stuff. Great museum.

Then the next week I had experience número dos! That means number two.
I went to my very first FBLA competition! It was all kinds of fun and scariness! My friend Mufausa (Mariah) and I entered "Digital Design and Promotion" category, which you make a business graphic along with six supporting designs then give a presentation to a panel of judges. I have never done anything even remotely close to this. Gratefully, Mariah is a wonderful public speaker and helped me along.

And guess what? To our delight we took first place! :D Along with 100 dollars! I have a picture of us with our money! We are currently preparing for State. Crazy. Also I am preparing for an English Quest completion for next Friday! :S I'm far from being ready.

Well, there we go. I have finally caught up with my news! Whoo!

Oh How I Long to Be In Europe

Everything I desire is in Europe, except The Hunger Games and my family.
Concerts for Coldplay,
Music from Mumford and Sons,
Harry Potter premiers,
Magically weddings,
I-Tunes music festival (Coldplay, the Script, Adele!),
British movies we don't get in American,
And driving on the left side of the road.

Okay, maybe it is mostly my current music obsessions that cause me to believe i belong to Europe, but not being able to get the music, movie, or experience I want just because I live in America is not very pleasant. So, I'm in love with a new song from Mumford and Sons, who need to hurry and finish their already masterpiece of a new album. But lucky American me will probably have to wait for it to be released in Europe. Whoa! What happen to little miss optimistic?
Oh wait! I have a plan. I have been participating in genealogy recently! Sometimes, when you get stuck tracing your family line or want to do more research you have to travel to your family's homeland! Lucky me that is Europe! So who knows what is in store for my future! :D
Well, I have been needing to blog about another subject so I will be ending this blog now.

In My Perfect Spot

I dream of traveling the world. Who doesn't dream of taking exotic trips to unknown lands? Yet, in all my dreaming of all the beautiful places I could be, I am beyond content in my own perfect little corner of the world. I currently am nestled in my bedroom window nook, my grandmothers quilt around me, and the house is at peace. The feeling it surreal being so fulfilled by my own little spot.
Then I think of my favorite little town: my hometown. Picture a town lined with trees, adorn with historical places, and a place where after ten the town is perfectly quiet. Many of my peers complain about the "sleepiness " of it all, but to me it is sweet serenity.

Well this isn't at all what I came to write about, but my mind often takes flight, soaring away from any current intentions. I think I may write on my original topic tomorrow.
Look deeper at your surroundings, beauty beyond measure might just be right before your eyes.

P.s. I live in a world where everyone has something to say and everyone "deserves to be heard". I agree that people should be heard, yet not everything should be said. This blog is for selfish reasons. I am writing it mostly for myself. So I rather am not particular if I am heard or not. As long as I can draw a picture to myself of my thoughts, my dreams, my short comings, and my successes, I am happy. Hear ye or not. If you do listen then I sure hope you enjoy.

If Only I Had the Time and the Talent

Love is in there air. I suppose that is part of this early February season. Here is my love. 50s lace dresses! Ahhh!

How can I lay my hands on the perfect dress that I am dreaming of? Basically it is beautiful! I want it the shape of the whole "world fits under the skirt" style and lace arms that resembles Princess Kate's wedding dress.

So, how do I convince my mom to make me this dress, because I don't have the time or the talent! But I sure do have the desire!

Love,
the very in love with these dresses Emma!
